Exploring Arts - Burnaby School District Summer 2008

Last summer, over 220 Burnaby students in ten different locations across the district performed, took photos, drummed, sang, painted, sketched, sculpted and created as part of the ExplorArts 2007 programme. This summer promises to be equally rich as students from 10 Burnaby elementary schools will once again have the opportunity to participate in these Fine Arts camps. Each camp will focus on visual art, drama, music and/or dance to create a fun and exciting program for students. These two week fine arts camps will be located in schools across the district and give interested students who may have difficulty accessing such programs, an opportunity to explore the arts in a local setting.
Said one enthusiastic student:
"This summer art camp was great. I had fun running around in P.E. and playing drama games. I loved making paintings , the snacks - yum! And the effort the teachers and helpers made to make this camp the best."
