Jack Darcus

Egg Tempera Painting ~ Join Jack in this demonstration on traditional egg tempera. He will show you how to grind pigments, the various formulae for egg tempera media, and the preparation of traditional gesso grounds for this unique technique.
Jack has been painting and exhibiting since 1964. His work is represented in collections in Canada, Europe, the USA and China. He has been working in tempera since 1979.
Simon Cantin

Introduction to Brazilian Soapstone Carving ~ Join Simon as he discusses and demonstrates rasps, files, sand paper and chisels when soapstone carving. Simon is the president of the Surrey Rockbound Club and is an instructor.

Peter Mintchev

Working With Digital Images ~ Join Peter as he explains different image formats such as JPEG, TIFF and BMP, image resolution and file size. He will cover colour and tone correction of digital photographs, as well as restoring scanned old negatives and slides using Adobe Photoshop.
Peter is an artist who works and lives in Vancouver, BC. He teaches at both Kwantlen University College and Malaspina University College.
Mark Pytlos

Introduction to Airbrushing ~ Mark will demonstrate the use of an airbrush as a tool for painting and how to enhance your painting with acrylic medium blending techniques. He will have some examples to show of various airbrush examples.
