The Arts Council of the North Okanagan (ACNO) in Vernon, BC is holding its first annual Artists Anonymous Show and Sale. The Burnaby Arts Council in Burnaby, BC is asking for artwork for the Burnaby 1' x 1' project. This is an invitation for visual artists to document anything and everything that makes the City of Burnaby a special place to call home, to visit or work in! Tiling Workshop, Denman Island, February 2nd & 3rd
The Denman Island Arts Centre on Denman Island, BC is pleased to present Hand Painted Tile Murals by Bronwyn Simons on Saturday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 3rd from 9:30am-3:30pm each day. Come and explore a variety of techniques for surface design on ceramics. Each student will create one 12"x12" ceramic tile mural consisting of nine 4"x4" tiles and one 8"x8" ceramic tile made up of four 4" tiles, suitable for mounting or installation. There will also be a discussion regarding history and various demonstrations on techniques will also be taught. The fee is $135 plus $35 for materials.
