Tiling Workshop, Denman Island, February 2nd & 3rd
The Denman Island Arts Centre on Denman Island, BC is pleased to present Hand Painted Tile Murals by Bronwyn Simons on Saturday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 3rd from 9:30am-3:30pm each day. Come and explore a variety of techniques for surface design on ceramics. Each student will create one 12"x12" ceramic tile mural consisting of nine 4"x4" tiles and one 8"x8" ceramic tile made up of four 4" tiles, suitable for mounting or installation. Gallery Vertigo in Vernon, BC is looking for an artist to occupy one of their studios starting Friday, February 1st. Rent is $75 a monthand includes 24hr access and full use of kitchen supplies. Studio artists are required to sit at the gallery one day per week 11am-4pm and are responsible for some volunteer duties. Writers, actors and musicians are encouraged to apply.
