15th Annual Arts Alive Festival
Come join us in Downtown Langley on August 16, 2008 between 10 am and 5 pm, for our 15th Annual ArtsAlive! Festival. Hundreds of visual and performing artists will line the Fraser Highway between 204th and 206th Streets.
This free, family day includes entertainers, painters, potters, sculptors, jewellery designers and more. Our Children's Fun Park has everything for your little one, from face painters to sidewalk chalk art to craft make and takes. Sponsored by The Langley Advance and Opus Art and Framing, this venue is a huge hit with children year after year.
Our Classical Guitar Stage will allow you to watch the guitar masters in action, while our Coast Capital Classical Rock Stage will bring back some awesome memories. The Kwantlen University Jazz Stage will provide big band ensembles featuring local, renown Juno Award winners. For your listening enjoyment, the entertainment will continue throughout the day.
Come stop by Opus Framing & Art Supplies in downtown Langley at #95-5501 204th Street during the day for the Annual Children's Chalk Drawing Contest for children aged 1-18 years of age. While at Opus, check out the Children's drawing exhibition hanging in the windows. Children entered their artwork that they created during the month of July and submitted it to Opus. These great artists deserve to be showcased!
