The Richmond Artists Guild is currently searching for artists to do artist demonstrations for their monthly meetings, which happen the second Wednesday of every month from 7pm-9pm. Call for Artists, Coquitlam, Deadline October 1st
Place des Arts is seeking artists for their Positively Petite exhibition to create things small and beautiful. The exhibition runs from Thursday, November 8th until Friday, December 21st. Call for Submissions, Maple Ridge, Deadline September 15th
The Maple Ridge Art Gallery is seeking submissions of 2D relief and 3D original works of art in wood. Works of art should accentuate the inherent qualities of this natural resource and be at least 75% wood in construction. The Maple Ridge Art Gallery is located at 11944 Haney Place in Maple Ridge. Lantern Festival, Burnaby, September 15th
Come on Saturday, September 15th from 7pm-9:30pm to view a magical community lantern procession as it winds its way around Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, BC. Deer Lake Park is located at 6450 Deer Lake Park Avenue. The procession will be lead by African djembe drummers, and participants will encounter whimsical performances and magnificent illuminated lantern installations along the route. A spectacular fire show concludes this magical evening. Earlier this same day, from 3:30pm-6:30pm, children 16 and under are welcome to join the lantern making workshop at the Shadbolt Centre.
