The 2007 annual art teachers' conference is taking place in North Vancouver at Carson Graham Secondary School on October 18th, 19th and 20th, 2007.
Conference highlights include keynote speakers: Joe Fafard, Dr. Roger Lee and Duane Sabiston. Bus tours of studios, galleries and public art are included as an optional activity, in addition to a varied selection of workshops.
Special events begin with a Thursday evening opening reception at the Holiday Inn and Suites located on Old Lillooet Road in North Vancouver. The opportunity to sign-up early for studio tours will be provided..
Friday, October 19th begins with a welcoming address from Joe Fafard, followed by studio tour and workshop sign-ups for the afternoon. The Gala begins at the award winning Artists for Kids Gallery. A procession led by Public Dreams Musicians and Performers will initiate the Gala Dinner ceremonies in the adjacent building. On Saturday, October 20th, Dr. Roger Lee will be the keynote speaker, followed again by gallery tour and workshop sign-ups.
