Calling All Artists, Richmond, Deadline October 26th
The Richmond Art Gallery is having a Wine Label Design Contest and Exhibition. Entries must be received by Friday, October 26th. The exhibition runs from Saturday, November 10th until Saturday, November 24th. The general public, through a $1 suggested donation, will decide on the winning entrant. The winning artist will be profiled on the gallery website throughout the programming year and featured in the first issue of the 2008 RAG e-newsletter. The North Vancouver Community Arts Council is seeking visual artists to participate in the Art Rental Program. The program generates revenue for individual artists by renting original 2-D works to a large and diverse clientele. CityScape Community Art Space is very excited to announce their 3rd Annual Anonymous Art Show including both emerging and established 2-D artists working strictly on unframed 8" x 8" canvas. Canvases are on sale at the Arts Council for $5 for members, $7 for non-members starting on Monday, September 17th. Deadline to submit canvases is Saturday, November 17th at 4pm. Calling All Kelowna Art Gallery Members, Kelowna, Deadline October 28th at 4pm.
The Kelowna Art Gallery in Kelowna, BC is celebrating its 30th anniversary with their members' only exhibition. The theme of this show is inspired by their permanent collection and entitled Nexus: Histories and Communitites. Join Susan Diehl in her workshop at the Coupeville Arts Center at 15 NW Birch Street in Coupeville, Washington. This class is designed to be a place for the ongoing study of the process of creating an oil painting.
