Portfolio Day 2007
This year Portfolio Day is December 1st, and is being hosted in Emily Carr Institute's concourse gallery. Here is some advice about what to bring and how to present your work.
• Bring a sketchbook to demonstrate your creative process and work habits.
• Generate interest in your work with your first piece.
• Include work that gives evidence of your ability
and willingness to look closely and carefully at a subject.
• Order your work to show your development, keeping in
mind that current work best shows your skill level.
• Include a variety of finished pieces in your portfolio, to demonstrate your
ability to work with a wide range of techniques, materials and subject matter.
• Be prepared to explain why a particular work is in your portfolio,
what it means to you and what you were trying to achieve.
