Sunscreen for your art!

Help your favourite works of art on paper to age as well as a fine wine. Whether you are preserving a unique artwork that you bought while on your 'once in a lifetime' trip to Europe, or that special family photo, your best option is conservation UV glass.

Regular glass is what most pre-assembled frames come with, and while it protects your artwork from dust and dirt, it is also highly reflective and contains no UV coating. To truly protect your artwork, the clear choice is conservation UV glass. It blocks 98% of the sun's harmful UV rays because its surface is coated with a silica-based UV blocking agent.

The ideal place to use conservation UV glass is for black and white photographs, open edition prints, and posters as they are most vulnerable to the sun. Sunlight can cause the inks and paper to fade or become brittle, discolour and turn yellow. All other artwork also benefits from UV glass as the sun will damage and fade artwork over time. Keep your artwork fresh and vibrant for years to come with the benefit of UV glass. Available in four popular sizes 8"x10", 11"x14", 12"x16", 16"x20" or by custom order.

Helpful Glass Cleaning Tips:

* Use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner ie.: Sprayway glass cleaner (Reg price. 20oz $7.10).
* Do not spray cleaner directly onto the glass as it may seep under the edges of the glass and damage the mats and/or artwork. Instead, spray the glass cleaner onto a lint-free cloth then clean the glass.
* Do not use coarse or abrasive cleaning agents or dirty cloths as they will scratch the glass surface.
