The Arts in the City Festival in Vancouver, BC is currently accepting submissions for their next visual arts event to be held at Grace Vancouver Church on Friday, February 15th. Touchstones Nelson: Museum of Art and History in Nelson, BC is seeking three artists of any discipline to submit proposals for new work, which explores the nature of impermanence. Printmakers Only Group (POG) is having their 16th annual show of new works in Chemainus, BC. Art Exhibition, Victoria, now until January 15th
Still in the Aviary is an ongoing installation piece which started on Monday, October 15th and continues until Tuesday, January 15th at the Beacon Hill Park Aviary between Douglas Street and Cook Street in Victoria, BC. During the first 6 weeks, Christine Clark will add 8 new birds to the Aviary, and during the last 6 weeks will remove 8 birds a week. The birds are papier mache versions of our native birds raising questions about captivity, extinction and freedom.
