Opus' 8th Annual Holiday Donation

This holiday season, Opus is continuing our company-wide tradition of fundraising for local community groups. We encourage you to help by making a donation next time you stop by. We will match your donation, dollar for dollar, for each community group we're raising funds for. Stop by your local Opus and help brighten someone else's holiday season!

Opus Victoria is supporting Victoria Women's Transition House

Victoria Women's Transition House has been providing a safe, welcoming shelter, support and advocacy for abused women since 1975. Artmaking workshops are taught by counsellors for both children and women to help in their recovery from domestic violence.

Opus Granville Island is supporting ArtStarts in Schools

ArtStarts in Schools is a non-profit organization offering educators, artists, parents and students a broad range of programs and services to promote arts and creativity. It provides innovative arts programs for young people, practical resources for teachers and artists, and leadership in advocacy for arts in education.

Opus North Van is supporting North Shore Neighbourhood House

North Shore Neighbourhood House, a non-profit charity serving the North Shore for over 65 years, runs a unique after school program for teenagers with special needs. The program focuses on life skills, development and age appropriate activities. Art classes are taught by an artist on a regular basis at the club. Through the program the teens find creative ways of expressing themselves. Call 604-987-8138 for further information.

Opus Langley is supporting Ishtar Transition House

The Ishtar Transition House is one of the 63 safe houses that operates throughout BC and the Yukon. Ishtar provides temporary accomodation for women and their children who are leaving an emotionally, physically, and/or sexually abusive relationship. Staff provide counselling and referrals to community resources.

Opus Kelowna is supporting Central Okanagan Brain Injury Society

In memory of one of Opus Kelowna's first loyal customers, Gilbert Walters, Opus Kelowna will be donating to the Central Okanagan Brain Injury Society. Gilbert Walters, a Wet'suwet'en, was born in Smithers, BC in 1959. His artwork was highly influenced by his love of nature and credited other well known native artists for the inspiration behind his work.

Opus Online & Mail Order is supporting BC Children's Hospital

The BC Children's Hospital's Child Life Department provides expert care for the province's most seriously ill or injured children, including newborns and adolescents. The Child Department's art workshops "help put smiles back where they belong".
