Opus Fall Artist Series

Moving into Fall, Opus Granville Island presents more of our popular Artist Series. Learn from your fellow artists, refine your skills, gain new techniques or just feel inspired.

Kathy Swift
Granville Island, Saturday October 7th, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Kathy will walk you through her own creative process in a playful and informative way, and possibly introduce you to a few new techniques to explore on your own. Her demo will focus on having fun with the figure — exaggeration and distortion as well as personality and style. Media will be mixed — acrylic, watercolour, gouache, India ink, and more!

Kathy has been working with mixed media in unusual ways — distressing the products to create an unusual effect, or mixing them together to make the most of their potential. Playing, working on board or canvas, and firing up the creative juices — just for fun — it doesn't matter how one paints, as we will be exploring our own styles and interpretations and finding our own voice. For more information on the artist email at kswift@dccnet.com or call 604-943-7960.
