Granville Island, Friday November 3rd, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Traditional & Experimental Techniques in Acrylic Painting ~ Lori Goldberg will show some interesting experimental techniques, as well as some more traditional techniques in acrylic. She will be showing how acrylic paint can be manipulated so that it will emulate the look of an oil or watercolor painting. Lori will be doing the demonstration using a palette of natural or earth tones.

Watercolour on Canvas ~ Debra's work is mostly representational, with a light impressionistic blend. She has actively been instructing since 1989 in the Lower Mainland. Her instruction includes developing classes and workshops for the Langley, Surrey and Cloverdale Continuing Education programs.
Debra will be demonstrating the exciting possibilities which painting on canvas offers to watercolourists. She will show you that you can achieve all the same stuff on canvas that you can on paper.

Perspectives on Painting ~ Join Robert as he paints at Opus Victoria, and advises on what steps to take for a commissioned painting, from sketches to photographs.
Robert Amos's ability to convey the ambience of a neighbourhood, as seen in his paintings of Victoria communities, has made his work special. His ability to paint gardens accurately, and to recreate historical settings has given him a unique place in the field of art. Suminagashi Japanese Marbling ~ Candace will be displaying a few examples of this type of Japanese marbling. She will use various materials such as Mulberry paper, Chinese brushes, rice paper rolls and Sumi-E sketch pads.
