Your Canvas Framed Your Way
The new Opus EZ-Float Frame insert!
Opus' founder, David van Berckel, started this company with a product idea for artists—he realized there was a need for a standard picture frame which could be loaded easily for exhibition purposes, which practicing artists could afford and easily re-use. As a result, the Opus Metal Exhibition Frame was born. This was more than 30 years, however Opus has continued to grow our product selection based on this same philosophy and goal: is there a need, and can we respond to it?
With this in mind, we are happy to introduce a brand new product to you, which coincidentally, David also conceived of. Our new EZ-Float Frame insert is a contemporary solution for artists to exhibit their work easily and effectively.
This front-loading insert allows you to use almost any of our wood mouldings as an attractive frame for works on canvas. Your canvas will quite literally float inside your frame, offset by a simple peek-a-boo black border.
How does it work?
The EZ-Float inserts are easy to use. They fit any canvas in a 3/4" depth—try the Opus Studio Canvas, Buzz Canvas or even a Cradled Panel. Just place your art into the insert and use the hardware included to screw your canvas into your frame. To make things simple, there are pre-drilled holes as a guide.
The EZ-Float inserts can be ordered to your specifications through our Chop framing service. They are essentially a basic black moulding that is made from a durable polymer, which is then adhered to an acid-free coroplast backing. The result is a simple shell which houses your canvas inside your frame. Versatile, attractive and economical.
To order the EZ-Float insert, simply request that it be capped with your choice of wood moulding. Our framing staff can help you place your order.
