With fresh ideas and new approaches in promoting practicing professional artists who live and work in the Greater Victoria Capital Regional District, Heaven-on-Earth Marketing and Image Management Company proudly presents the 1st Annual State of Art Show and Sale.

A community event showcasing contemporary works by professional artists, takes place at the Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria, G6-1001 Douglas Street, Victoria, B.C., starting October 5th, and runs to October 18th, 2006, 10:00am to 5:00pm daily. Admission is Free.

Opening Night is Saturday October 7th, 2006, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Meet the artists, local dignitaries, VIPs and media, and live music by guitarist John MacArthur.

Featuring works by Carron Berkes (papier mache sculpture); Erin Chard (watercolor painting); Pat Cook (mixed media); Nancy Dolan (photography); Ray Franklin (wood turning); Lenny de Groot (fiber art); David Ladmore (oil painting); Gord Langston (sculpture); Lindy MacArthur (acrylic painting); Pauline Olesen (fused glass); Avis Rasmussen (printmaking); Jenn Robins (printmaking); Muriel Sibley (ceramic sculpture) and Rob Vickery (mixed media).

Cast your vote for best artwork in the State of Art Show and Sale! The wining artist will receive a gift basket of art supplies from Opus Framing and Art Supplies. Your vote counts! All ballots will be automatically entered in a draw for a chance to win a night's stay, including a 3-course dinner for two, compliments of the Sooke Harbour House Hotel, Restaurant, Gallery and Spa. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, October 18th, 2006.
