Kelaine Devine, Langley's store manager for over four years, has made an exciting leap to do some traveling and further her art career and education. While all of us at Opus are sad to lose Kelaine and appreciate all that she has brought to the Langley store for the last nine years she worked there, we are also very excited for her and look forward to seeing her artistic career blossom. Kelaine will no doubt be seen in major galleries and future issues of Canadian Art! Farewell and good luck Kelaine, from all at Opus!

For Fraser Valley customers, we are very pleased to announce that the new store manager of Opus Langley is Chakara Brown. Chakara will be a familiar face for all of our customers in Langley. Chances are if you have shopped there, you've had the pleasure of being helped by Chakara. In her six years at Opus, she has developed great relationships with everyone around her—staff and customers alike. Chakara's extensive knowledge of art materials has also been put to use both in the store and beyond. She is an artist with a painting background, an interest in bookbinding, collage and is a co-founder of the Fraser Valley's Never Happens Here Arts & Music Festival, which started in 2003.

As the new manager, with a great group of staff at her side, we are excited about the future for this store. We are also confident that our Fraser Valley customers will continue to get the same great service, even as Chakara and her dedicated staff find new areas to develop and grow.
