Tired of mass-produced Christmas gifts? Check out this exhibition at Place Des Arts, 1120 Brunette Avenue in Coquitlam until December 22nd. There really is something for everyone, from children's fleece blankets to hand-stitched Christmas tree ornaments. The Vancouver Island Mayworks Project is accepting submissions for a show in the main gallery called "Making A Living". Come and listen to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra present the most beloved Christmas music at the Centennial Theatre at 2300 Lonsdale Avenue from October 3rd to December 22nd with two shows nightly at 4pm and 7:30pm. The North Okanagan Artists Alternative Members and Friends of Gallery Vertigo have donated a wonderful array of valuable artworks, antiques and collectibles for this silent auction. Presentation House Gallery,333 Chesterfield Avenue, North Vancouver, is pleased to announce Czech photographer Miroslav Tichy's first solo exhibition in a public gallery outside of Europe titled Tichy from November 18th, 2006 to January 14th, 2007. The exhibition features 120 photographs as well as Tichy's handmade camera equipment as well as a documentary film about the artist.
