Opus' Summer Artist series continues to be a hit with artists! Each store location features different artists with their own specialization. Learn from your fellow artists, refine your skills, gain new techniques or just feel inspired!

Marilyn Foubert
Granville Island, Saturday August 12, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

With a background as a fibre artist, Marilyn's unique painting techniques include assemblage and abstract expressionist painting. She is a workshop facilitator and works at the Roundhouse Community Centre on Monday nights in Vancouver, BC.

Lynda Wylde

Gretchen Markle

Gretchen studied at the Victoria School of Contemporary Art and the Victoria College of Art and is a regular participant in the residency program at the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts. Working primarily in oil and oil pastel, her work conveys her excitement in landscape of vibrant colour.

Stephen Cheng

Stephen has been a professional artist for 30 years and graduated from Hong Kong Fine Art College, where he studied under some of China's most famous painters and art professors. Stephen's past work reflects the diversity of his talents: oil portraits, murals, set designs for theatre and opera, and also teaching painting.

Heather Keenan
Victoria, Saturday August 19 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Heather is trained in Design Arts at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton and has taken extensive courses in Toronto, San Francisco and Victoria. Her award-winning work has been featured on the covers of national and international literary journals and books. Heather has painted and drawn with oil pigment sticks for over 25 years.

Jutta Kaiser

Jutta is a painter who previously owned and operated an award-winning pottery studio in Ontario. Since moving to Vancouver, she has turned to painting full-time. Jutta is a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and her work can be found in private and corporate collections worldwide.
