Vancouver East Cultural Centre
Visual artists are invited to submit applications for exhibitions during the 2006/2007 season at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre. 2D applications will be accepted for the 7 exhibition slots that are available for 4 weeks each during the season. Artists should send 10 to 15 slides of their work, an artist's statement and working title of the proposed exhibition, an artist's biography, resume or CV. Quadra Island Arts Retreat

The Vancouver School
The Vancouver School is a collaborative sculptural installation created by five well-known Canadian artists: Douglas Coupland, Graham Gillmore, Angela Grossmann, Attila Richard Lukacs and Derek Root. The quintet are converting a former North Vancouver elementary school gymnasium into an elaborate meditation on the links between schools, the human body, mass culture and the rituals and spaces that mold a person's sense of self. This exhibition will be open in the Artists for Kids Gallery located at 810 West 21st Street, North Vancouver, BC, from Tuesday April 18th to Saturday May 13th, 2006. Arts on the Avenue
Vancouver Island artist who are interested in selling their art 8th annual Arts on the Avenue street arts festival to be held Sunday August 27th, 2006 in Ladysmith, BC, are invited to submit work for jurying for this annual festival. Main Art Drift
The Main Art Drift, a non-profit society is gearing up for the Drift 2006, which will take place Saturday September 30th, 2006 to Sunday October 1st, 2006, and art will be on display in participating stores and businesses from Friday September 15th, 2006 to Sunday October 15th, 2006. Watermark Printmakers Society
The Watermark Printmakers Society will hold their annual art show from Saturday April 1st to Thursday April 27th at Martin Batchelor Gallery located at 712 Cormorant Street, in Victoria, BC. The gallery hours are 10:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday. The show's theme is "Water", inspiring a rich flow of ideas and a sea of interpretations. With water's boundlessness in mind, the artists have opted to present the works in this show unframed or "out of the box", allowing the visitor to get up close and personal when viewing the artwork. The Chilliwack Artists Association
Artists are invited to submit slides; CD's or prints of recent art work in any medium for consideration in the 2007 exhibition year. Exhibition space is available at the Chilliwack Arts Centre in the Artists Gallery on Henderson Avenue, and at the Chilliwack City Hall Gallery on Young Road. Submissions will be subjected to jurying. A 6-week exhibit schedule for 2007 at both sites will be determined by lottery. All artwork chosen to exhibit must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Amelia Douglas Gallery Call
The Amelia Douglas Gallery at Douglas College is currently seeking submissions from visual artists to be considered for upcoming exhibits. The EARTH Project
Groups and organizations are invited to submit proposals for Earth: The World Urban Festival, which will be held Wednesday June 21st to Sunday June 25th, 2006. This event is about the earth and everyone who calls this planet home, providing a platform for engagement on key global issues. Attendees to this festival will have an opportunity to see the world through the eyes and voices of people from around the globe. Submissions for interactive activities to engage and educate the public and youth in particular about "on the ground" ways to take action and make communities more sustainable and participatory are being accepted. A wide variety of proposals will be considered with preference being given to proposals that focus on the creative. Deadline for proposals is Monday April 17th.
