The 32nd Annual Circle
Craft Christmas Craft Market "The Circle Craft Christmas Market puts new meaning into the word 'crafts'...truly works of art." From homespun to hip, if it's handmade, you'll find it here. Like Santa, the Circle Craft Christmas Market magically appears once a year, but you won't have to wait until December 25th for these gifts and goodies! From November 9th to 13th under the sails at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, an estimated 40,000 visitors will discover the finest in handcrafted jewellery, clothing, food, décor and more. They'll also meet more than 260 artisans from across Canada, all of whom were individually selected to exhibit. ![]() Hat by Jessica de Haas As Western Canada's largest one-of-a-kind gift fair, the Circle Craft Christmas Market offers a spectacular assortment of stylish home décor; exquisite jewellery; delicious jams, chocolates and holiday nibbles; hip fashions; fine woodcarving; soaps and candles; and much more. A Vancouver tradition since 1973, the Circle Craft Christmas Market began when Yetta Lees, a young Danish craftswoman, was asked to organize a fibre fair in Victoria. From there, the market moved on to the Vancouver East Cultural Centre but over the years its growing popularity took it to the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, which it calls home today. ![]() Jewellery by Jennifer Broeska This year, Opus Framing & Art Supplies joins the market with a special hands-on event for kids of all ages. Opus staff will be on hand to lead young artists through the fun of decorating gift paper. What's more, shoppers will be invited to bring their purchases to the Gift Wrapping Centre to be wrapped in these fun, newly-created papers. And how does this market deck the halls? Charitably, of course! Shoppers are invited to celebrate the season of giving with a visit to The Sharing Tree where a $2 donation offers a chance to win a fabulous holiday for two. All visitors are also given the chance to enter a draw for a $1,000 Shopping Spree at the Christmas Market. If that weren't enough, the Market also offers a free Entertainment Stage with choirs, classical musicians, dancers and more. And back by popular demand, will be The Totally Amazing Glass Show featuring hot glass demonstrations by Vancouver's foremost glass artists. ![]() Bowls by Silvia Dotto It's definitely not your grandma's craft fair. The Circle Craft Christmas Market is about a new generation of creative artists and artisans, and an interactive, entertaining shopping experience. Don't miss it.
