Opus Langley's 9th Annual Kid's Art Exhibition

Opus Langley is holding an open call for their annual art exhibition to children under the age of 16. All artwork must be completed on an official 12" x 12" form which is available for pick up only at our Langley store starting July 2nd. All completed entries must be received by July 31st. Work can be created in any medium provided it is attached to the form and fits a 12" x 12" frame. Artwork will be displayed from August 5th to 26th at our Opus Langley store. Artwork and free frame can be picked up in-store from August 27th to September 15th. For details call 604-533-0601.

Sidney's Call for Artists

Opus is proud to support the Laroche Plein Air Paint Out at 1B9851 Seaport Place in Sidney. Artists are invited to participate in this outdoor non-profit, juried event on August 7th, 2005 from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Three prizes are available to be won and each artist will receive an Opus apron. Entry fee is $25 per artist and all money goes towards the production of the event, as well as a dinner at the end of the day. Wonderful Nude

Bernie Lee presents a figurative photo/graphic show Wonderful Nude. This show uses different techniques in photography and digital graphics to present the beauty of figurative art. Port Moody's Call for Entry

Port Moody's Blackberry Gallery invites artists to submit Artist Trading Cards. Entries must be 2.5" x 3.5". Entries for the exhibition are due July 25th, no later than 5:00pm. The exhibition will be on display August 18th to September 25th with a trading card session held on September 25th at the Port Moody Arts Centre from 1:00pm-4:00pm. 17th Annual Nelson Artwalk

Nelson and District Arts Council presents their 17th Annual Artwalk from July 1st to September 24th, 2005. Eleven venues host approximately 40 artists representing the Kootenays. The Richmond Artists' Guild

Whalley's Call to Artists

The Whalley Business Improvement Association (BIA) invites artists to provide designs for decorative banners to be mounted on strategic light poles within the WBIA area of Surrey. Artists may make up to three submissions for each category, nylon banners and decorative metal banners. Artists are not responsible for fabrication. This exhibit is an innovative interdisciplinary work with community collaboration that examines what happens when random tragedy strikes innocent people and what compels a person to cross the edge, the moral line. Art Rush

Gallery Vertigo invites artists to participate in their first studio tour and accompanying gallery exhibition. Vernon area artists are invited to open their studios on Saturday, August 6th-Sunday, August 7th, 2005 from 10:00am-4:00pm each day. Only artists who participate in the studio tour will be included in the accompanying exhibition at Gallery Vertigo which will run from Tuesday, August 2nd-Saturday August 20th, 2005.
