Virtual Gallery Experience
The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion and professional development of artists and services for art collectors. They have been dedicated to the aim of gradually raising artists' standards by motivating its' members to greater heights of achievement. The Federation of Canadian Artists is a not-for-profit, registered charity that operates a gallery on Granville Island, produces a bi-monthly magazine Art Avenue and puts on both a fall and winter/spring semester of painting and drawing classes.
The issue of exposure is a prominent one for the visual arts. For artists, it is a question of how to make their work more visible, and how to attract new patrons who are not familiar with their work. For the public, it is a question of where to look for the art and transportation can sometimes be an issue. The FCA has created a very inspiring solution for both groups of people. For visitors who cannot return to the gallery, those wanting to revisit a show, or even those who have never been to the Gallery, the FCA has created an online gallery of artwork. This virtual gallery directs visitors to clickable thumbnails of artists’ work from past and present shows. Once the artwork is clicked, the visitor is treated to a larger version of the artwork and provided artwork details. Log on today to get your creative dose of art! Visit www.federationgallery.ca to see the current show Art Fusion, as well as recent shows. For details, contact 604-681-8534 or email fcagallery@artists.ca |
