1. My favourite medium to work in is oil paint because I love its squishy character and the way the colours mix on the surface.

2. If I had a free lifetime supply of one art supply it would be good toothy drawing paper. There's nothing like pushing colour around on a good surface.

3. Critics would describe my work as gestural, painterly.

4. While I work, what I listen to varies, but usually 80's underground with REM stuck in there someplace.

5. If I could share my studio or take lessons with any Canadian artist it would be Norval Morrisseau.

6. If I could be part of any art movement it would be the Impressionists for their light colour and immediacy.

7. The book next to my bed is Calvin & Hobbes 10th Anniversary.

8. If I could have directed / written/ starred in any film it would be Lord of the Rings (any of them) or Bladerunner, but I'd rather be in their art department!
