Chinese Watercolour with Eileen Fong

Connect with nature through traditional Chinese Watercolour! Local artist Eileen Fong will demonstrate the art of this traditional media and the techniques she uses to represent nature. Eileen?s artwork is infused with elements of the spiritual, traditional and the contemporary. She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, a teacher and gifted artist. Her paintings have received many awards including Surrey Arts 1998 and 2000, and the Delta Artspacific 2002 juried shows.

Best selling Canadian artist Mike Svob returns to Opus to share his secrets for making a successful painting with the use of strong bold colours. Author of Paint Red Hot Landscapes That Sell! Mike Svob has been a full-time artist for over 20 years. Mike is a popular and much sought after painting instructor, strongly believing that sharing knowledge among fellow artists provides only positive results for everybody. Mike also has the distinction of being the youngest member of the Federation of Canadian Artists to be awarded the honour of Senior Signature Status.

Golden Artist Acrylics with Teyjah McAren

Join artist Teyjah McAren for an exciting and informative demonstration on Golden Acrylics. Teyjah will discuss pigment loads and colour mixing with a focus on the differences between Golden Heavy Body and Fluid paints. With recent additions to the Golden line, Teyjah will also introduce the new interference and iridescent colours available in the Golden fluids line. Teyjah was trained by the Golden Artists Colours? Working Artist Program in 1999, which provides artists with first hand experience with Golden acrylic products and their uses. Teyjah is a graduate of Concordia University and Simon Fraser University with a Masters degree from SFU in Arts Education. Teyjah has been exhibiting her work since the early 1980?s.
