Opus' Annual Staff Donation

For four years, Opus staff have made an annual donation to a non-profit organization that has a focus on social or economic need, with Visual Art in its mandate. Each year, the funds contributed by staff are matched by Opus with an equal dollar amount. This past Christmas we supported the Coast Foundation Resource Center, who have assisted people with serious mental illness since 1974. They provide housing, employment, outreach and social programs which include laundry, meals, outings, and most recently Art.

Their members have become increasingly interested in art, through the work of one community mental health worker. Art has become a focal point for many of their members, and late last year a space became available at the Center with a small budget to purchase supplies. This fledgling art program was the perfect recipient for our annual collective donation and we are pleased to report that we donated $1410.40!
