I thoroughly enjoy reading The Daily Heller email I receive every morning from Print Magazine while I read through my email.
This one grabbed my attention and I wanted to share it with you, well at least a bit about the artist mentioned.
His name is Cardon Watt and he's a New York artist. I don't really need another reason to love New York, but Cardon is it. Ok..here's why I like this Cardon guy: Cardon takes random self-distributed flyers and advertisements off the lampposts of Astoria, in Queens and completely redesigns them – like the ones attached to every light post in downtown Vancouver such as missing pets, concerts or notes.
Sometimes he simplifies them, sometimes, he embellishes them. He has complete creative control. What a great way to manipulate type, design and creativity.

Let's use Cardon's idea and take street art to a whole new level – I dare you!

November 1 -3:19pmI have not yet seen this exhibit, however, I hope it will prove to be interesting. Also, I seem to have this weird thing following me, but I feel it's o.k.

November 21 -12:11pmIt is funny how those signs are viewed. Friends of mine named their band after one of those signs on a light post. Missing Starla, which was a missing cat in the west end, the owner of the missing cat saw a poster for the band and has come to several of their show. Sadly the cat was not found.
